I didn't think I would be settled in to college like I was in high school. I actually dreaded the idea that UCLA might become routine because that would mean that the "NEW" and "FUN" times would cease. How very wrong I was...

Life has become much more routine, I go to class, eat at the dining hall (The food was better last year), go to work, do whatever I can to please Emily (Which takes up a majority of my time off from work lol), take weekend trips up to the lake whenever I can, go to weekly parties, and entertain people in my room whenever I can. The consistency in my life has served to be a blessing more than anything else. And contrary to what I once believed as a Freshman, the fun doesn't stop just because one settles in. I am still having the time of my life and I still love everything about this place.

If anyone wants to come wakeboarding/waterskiing with me anytime soon go ahead and gimme a call.

Another year of UCLA is about to begin and I have to admit I am quite excited. I find it to be slightly mind-blowing that I am now a sophomore undergrad. I am frightened at the thought that it will all go by as fast as it has. Call it Van Wilder syndrome if you will but I know that I am going to dread leaving this wonderful place.

To focus on the present year, one thing is for certain. Things are going to be very different this year. I am going to do my best to buckle down and ensure that my studies remain my number one priority. My new job at the De Neve Front Desk is going to make my life 10,000,000x easier because it enables me to make money without leaving my dorm complex. No driving and not even more than 2 minutes of walking involved. I will hopefully have paid for my new SUV and the waterski team will take up a majority of my weekend time. Lastly, and possibly most importantly, Emily will be far closer than shes ever been before. Thankfully she is not in my building. I was so glad and relieved to learn that she won't be quite so proximate. I am mature enough to realize that that kind of accessibility would place an unnecessary strain on our relationship, which I of course intend to keep running smoothly. For now I am simply excited and counting the days till the quarter begins.

To all my friends entering or returning college, best of luck and I will miss you. You are all more than welcome to give me a call and stay at my place ANYTIME. If I am in your area I will be sure to give you a ring and hopefully see you.

However this may sound, I feel so much better now. I needed a couple of things to change in my life for this feeling to finally come about. I feel such a great weight lifted off of my shoulders. for the first time in almost a month I dont have to deal with that horrible feeling of emptiness and worthlessness. My stomach is no longer in tight knots. Colors seem a little brighter, and I smiled for the first time...Like REALLY smiled, not a facade. Thank God for this feeling. It is so much easier to get through the day. I would never wish those other feelings on anyone else, it was utter torture. I'm really hoping that this will last and its not a fluke.

Last night I came to her and I let her know how I felt, thankfully she had noticed and she consoled me. It may seem pathetic but I needed that. It helped a lot. I've been trying my best to put my life in perspective and I think I have a clear handle on whats ahead and what I need to do. I feel slightly better today and that is a first. I really hope this continues. And thank you so much for your emails and comments, they were really thoughtful and they made me smile. I love you guys. Thank you for not abandoning me.
